Using DSN as data source 1

hi
i have this crystal rpt which uses a DSN connection but if i change the path of the DSN by going thru control panel, the crystal rpt still shows the old path in the set location. How can i change the path, i have tried refreshing, shutting down the computer, verify the database etc..

Try changing the reports database to the altered DSN using the set location.

i have tried using the set location also but the DSN still shows connected to the old path. I found out a workaround by making another connection with a different name but pointing to the new location. But the short coming is that everytie ihave to change datasource, i have to make a new DSN.

Change the DSN, then do a set location, this will repoint the report to the correct datasource. It must be in that order.

If you believe that the DSN is not changing, verify this by pointing at something completely different. I've never had the set location NOT work, so this is a unique situation for me.

Perhaps it's how you're using set location, you must go into set location, then click set location and point to the datasource. You've probably done this, but just in case...
