Using Drill Through on Grouped Query Items

I've got a report that prompts the user to select the items they would like to see detail for. Using an If statement in a query calculation, I then display the detailed items and group the rest into 'All Other Items'. The problem arises when I set up the drill through. Instead of having one 'All Other Items' I get multiples, one for each unselected item:

Detail 1
Detail 2
Detail 3
All Other Items
All Other Items
All Other Items
All Other Items

Does anyone know of a work-around or simple solution that I'm missing.

Thanks in advance for your help,

This may just be my Monday morning density but I'm not clear on where you are seeing the problem. Is this report drilling through to itself? If so, when are you seeing the "all other" repeating - only on the subsequent runs (via drillthrough) or all the time?
Also, are you using ReportNet or Cognos 8? If ReportNet and your IF is at the query level, try moving it down into your tabular model and make sure auto group and summarize is turned on for the model.

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I solved the problem this weekend. Long story short, I had to change the data item to return <null> if not selected and create a separate filter on the drill down report to handle them.

Thanks for the response,
J
