As a Gold-Partner we received a copy of DPM 2007. I've installed the product and ran into several problems.
1) There is no DPMSRT installation on the DVD. I've looked on MSDN but the download is still a beta 2. I have'nt tried this download, to see if there is a DPMSRT in thise ISO. On other forum, people mention that DPMSRT is on the retail DVD/CD but unfortunatly not on the MSDN-DVD, microsoft send us. So were can I get/find this DPMSRT?
2) Cluster servers seem to work ok, But I have one major concern. The Quorum Volume shows up in the protectiongroup-selectionlist, but I can't'select any volume or share on it. This seems to be the case on all cluster servers i've tried! How come? Is this a flaw or a configuration error, or mayby never intended to work this way? It does concern me because a external partner of ours configured the Quorum Volume also as a data volume (major mistake), We can't backup the data on this volume! Also is/can the Quorum data be backupped with DPM?
3) During the day's tested, the data on the volume's grew, and several backup's failed, so I had to expand the allocated space. What's best practice to add an extra amount of space? Add 10%, 20%? I found a script on but i'm not to familiar with scheduling a powershell script. Is this script any good, and how do I schedule the script?
If anyone seems interested in answering my questions i can mayby give you more detail on any of my questions.
