Hi.

To day we using IP-telephone type DBC42x02 and DBC42x01, DHCP and Option 43 to get the right configfile. The directory strukture on the configserver is the subnet method. Now we trying too implement DBC43x01 and wisch too use DNS to get the right configfile.

We are using MX-one Telephony system versjon 3.2 SP5 and TSW SP6.

Is there anyone who have trying too use DNS to get the right configfile using Multiple Configuration Files?

Words:
- DHCP
- Option 15
- DNS
- Multiple config files

I hope someone can give me some help here.

To use the DNS method either the TDN or DNS suffix of the client needs to be unique. i.e. if all users on site 1 have the DNS suffix site-1.company.com then you would have a directory named the same. Then site-2.company.com etc.

Why do you need multiple config files?

Andy

I need multiple config files, we have different VLAN and different numberseries that need to be connected to either MX-one Gatekeeper or TSW- IPLU Gatekeeper.
The switch in the telephone have PC connected and the PC have its own VLAN.
Telephone have Voice VLAN 70, and PC have eks. 532 in one location, other location have Voice VLAN 70 and PC VLAN 985..
Therfor we need different config files on different locations.
