Using DL380 G5 with Dell 2161DS IP KVM

Hi, not sure if this should be in the Dell or HP forum...

Does anyone know if you can connect a DL380 G5 to a Dell 2161DS IP KVM? If the answer is yes, do you use HP or Dell adaptors?

You would have to use a KVM cable that is the same make as the KVM switch itself so in this instance you would have to use a Dell KVM cable. What server you connect to the KVM cable does not matter (providing the ports are there).

Different makes of KVM cables are not compatible in my experience with other KVM switches so the advice is to stick with the same make. For example, Avocent KVM switches do not work with HP KVM cables.
