Hallo,
I have a website where I use a lot of visual solutions in the pages. Text is almost absent. I was thinking about describing the content of the pages somehow that it won't be visible to the user, in order to have the pages listed in search engines in a coherent ways. Are there ways to do that? I was thinking for example to the "display:none" or "visibility" style, or else using layers, XML or metatag.
Does someone can give me a link where this issue is discussed? thanks

While it would work, it is hidden text and could and will get the site banned or penalised by the SEs. No reputable directory will list your site either. It's a simple premise if you want SE results you need text. Why not do it simply and legitimately ? have some pages with text and images. in the SE world a picture is certainly not worth a thousand words. and with words for real people to read you will possibly find your conversion rate increases.
