Off the top of my head, I can't imagine why not, but I generally clean things up manually rather than rely on Windows utilities.
How big is your C: partition? A good practice would be to find out where the extra fluff is coming from before you delete it so that you can stop it from reappearing.

Hi..
I had the same problem when the MAS Link Handler #2 error filled up the event logs.
Had to manually disable that service to stop the error from logging every minute.
