Is it possible to run a Visual Basic application that controls a quicktime movie via Director, or is there a better way to achieve this?

Well, you can insert a shockwave control into VB if that is of any help. Not quite sure what you want to do.

Thanks, that might be the way to go then. I'm trying to illustrate where a particular part of an object is as the user goes to a particuler section. For example, as the user activates a button in the visual basic application, an AVI or Quicktime movie will go to the appropriate part of the movie.

I've already constructed the movie from a 3D object and animated different camera runs, but I'm not sure how/whether to use lingo in Director to connect to each run when selected.

It could also link to a Flash movie ( for instance... can you link to Flash varaibles? ) if that's also possible, but you can control playback direction in Director easier, and don't have that annoying Flash pop-up on right click!
