Using Direct To Mailbox Problems

Hello All, We have Siemens Hicom to Hipath 400 to MM as one integration another integration we have is Siemens Hipath 8000 to Hipath 4000 to MM. Both are doing the same thing.. The issue is caller calls to the boss. His Admin answers and says I will transfer you into the Boss's Voice mail directly without having the Boss phone ring. She presses transfer button dials 13300 ( Modular messaging caller app) ... built as menu plus extension. She hears put in the mailbox number she does and presses transfer and the caller leaves their message. Now the fun Part... The boss listens to the message and presses 1 7 to reply ( serenade TUI) and his reply goes back to the Admin !!!. he can also press 4 to call back to the sender immediately which is back to his admin. We have tested the admin presses transfer and calls into her own mailbox snd presses * # # and that stops the ability for the boss to reply but it still knows her as the originating caller and the boss can press 4 to immediately call the sender. I need a way to mask the admins number or some magic caller App. Caller app doesnt like call into voice mail ##*## once it calls into voice mail it is done and the DTMF tones of ##*## never get played. PBX programming to call to Voice mail and send ##*## also doesn't work once the pbx calls to voice mail it cant send DTMF tones it thinks its primary purpose is complete and lets go of the call. I would love the boss to get an notice that the message is from an unknown caller unable to reply and unable to call back sender. Any ideas? Thanks, Joe
 
I assume that this is inband integration and not T-1 right?

If it is inband then the only way to do this would be to have one of the analog ports not setup to send the inband information.

Set it up like a regular analog line.

That way when it is called by the admin only it will not send and caller or calling info.

hello it is t-1 QSIG integration ( unfortunately ) Siemens said Avaya does not like to use segmented QSIG so I wonder if I am stuck.
 
One thing that may work is to setup a phantom number (or a real 2500 set not plugged int) in the PBX that will ring 2 or 3 times and then forward to VM. Then make that number a secondary number to the Boss.

That way the admin can transfer the call to 2999 and get out of the loop.

When the call does forward it will see the callers number and not the admin's number as the caller.

Thank you .. I will try to force AVAYA to build the Message Desk to appropriately allow transfers and not allow the end User the ability to reply or call back to the person that transferred the call. I have over 7 thousand users so building individual secondary extensions as well as a phone set 2500 would be a nightmare to try and support and train users to use.. Thanks again for your assistance
