Using different VPNs through Netgear 8 port FW router

I am not overly technical but have a very technical question. I am currently using a Netgear 8 port firewall router at home. It works great with my VPN conncetion to the company's network where I work. My wife also has to use a VPN connection for her work. We cannot both be on the different VPN's at the same time. In fact after she is on her VPN, I have to call my IT support guys to unlock my VPN password before I can get back on. Has anyone seen this before? Is there anything I can do? Do I have to get a new router? If so, which one do you suggest?
