using different fields for prompts and filter report

Hi All,

I have a field Model_Date in the format Mar 1, 2007 12:00:00 AM etc. I have another field Calendar_month in the format YYYY-MM. I have to use Calendar_month field in a date prompt(value prompt) and when the users select a value like 2008-01, the report should be filtered such that the Model_Date be 3 months prior. In another words, the report should return data based on model date being 2007-10 and earlier. Can anyone suggest me ways to achieve this?
