Using Dialog Resource Editor for NON-MFC apps??

I am trying to move away from using the MFC and the appwizard as much. I am pretty familiar with creating windows apps without the MFC. But I would like to be able to create dialog boxes with the resource editor for NON-MFC/App-wizards apps. I can include a menu resource in the app from within WinMain() but how do I do it for dialog resources ????
