Hi All

I am wanting to create a report catalogue out of our CRS 2008 server. I have tried to connect to CRS using CR via ODBC which does work, but it only sees parameters and custom functions. I have also tried to connect to the database itself, but have found it impossible so far, to locate the correct table holding reporting informtaion.

Has anyone been able to connect to the database directly to get a report written showing report details?

My hope is to create a report and schedule it to run nightly, so we have an up to date reporting catalogue of reports held within CRS.

Cheers

GV

Hi,
It is not possible to use CR to report on the Data stored in the CRS CMS repository ( I believe that there is a different repository for the parameters and functions)...There are tools on the Admin launch page to query that data and you can also write custom code and create your own reporting app..

Here's a start on the query that you need:

Select SI_ID, SI_NAME
from CI_INFOOBJECTS
where SI_KIND = 'CrystalReport'

-Dell

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Hi,
Justt a reminder that you will need to use the Query Builder (in XI that was on the Admin Launchpad, not sure where in CR Server) to run that query, it cannot be used in a Crystal Report.
