I'm using a visio application to create BPMN diagrams (business process modeling notation). I want to automate the connection process by selecting the connector tool in the toolbar, but the toolbar apparently does not work with arrows, only straight line connectors. So I thought I'll use the ocnnector tool, then select all and add arrow heads. But ... doing this adds arrow-heads to EVERYTHING, circles, diamonds, task rectangles. Is there some way i can choose to just select connecting lines wihout haveing to CTRL-click each one. (The same is true for curved lines. In BPMN, connectors are portrayed as curved lines (~3mm curve)

Or, I suppose, better yet, can I set up the connector tool so it automatically draws curved lines with arrow heads?

Any help greatly apprecaited.

Just design the shape you want, then group all its parts together with CTL-G, then drag it onto an editable stencil. You then have the tool you want ready to use
