Using CFHTTP

I am trying to use the CFHTTP tag to download a number of files. I am assuming what the name of the file and path will be and of course, in some cases, the file may not exist.

To prevent having empty files, is there a way to use the ISDEFINED function in conjunction with CFHTTP or something similar?
