When looking at the call history / logs and try to use the call back funtion....How can i tell it to incert outside access of 9. It tried to dial the number displayed with out outside access.

You can add a 9 to the prefix space in Line Options. This screws up screen pops to Outlook, so I just create a shortcode:

sc - xxxxxxxxxx
tn - 91N
f - Dial

Since the numbers are out-pulsed to the IPO as 10 digits all at once, it shouldn't effect anything like calling back a number that conflicts with your dial plan. If you cannot dial local calls with a 1 in front of it create short codes for the area codes that don't need a one:

sc - 610xxxxxxx
tn - 9610N

If you are not in the US, don't listen to me.

If you are in the US but not using centrex lines, don't listen to him either ;-)

Actually mostly listen to him, just don't insert the 9 at the beginning of the TN fields in his examples. :)

Listen to Peter,
The 9 should not be there. I don't even have a good excuse, I just put it there during a brain fart. I am going to try to edit the post and make Peter look crazy.

9 what 9 Peter? Get your act together and stop wasting my time.

in the line config tab there are varisou prefix options
(national Prefix & international Prefix)

In the uk these are usualy set to 0 & 00
if you insert a 9 in front of these then the incomming CLI will be presented with the leading 9 ready for your call back

DISCLAIMER: this may be 1 of those things that dosnt work in North Ammerica

Peter.....you win the prize, not useing the 9 did the trick

Thanks!!!

IPGuru you are correct, except as mentioned this defeats screen popping of contacts, unless you have a very tolerant customer who is willing to redo ALL their contacts to have a 9 in front of them.

What's presented here by brain fart (oops! I mean kflounders *grin*) and I is a workaround we've discovered here in the colonies, utilizing wood shavings, buffalo fat and beaver droppings.

Peter

I realise that peter but I like to add aditional information for the person who actualy read these posts befor raising a very similar question.

Can you let me know of a supplier for the buffalo dropings as they are very dificult to obtain in the UK & they could be usefull.

No probs, just gimme your lat & long and I'm sure I can pursuade a couple oh lads from the IRA to airdrop a load from a C-17 for ya ;-)
