Using c6 mail template

hi

i try to use the mail and news template of c6 but when I try to send my mail, i have the following :

error history : connecting to DEFAULT 10049 / ABC
when I quit this window the application go to GPF.
When i try to use the example given with c6, it happens the same problem.

can someone help me ?
