I have a vendor that requires the use of the ANSI Clear Protocol, but it doesn't look like Procomm Plus can use it. Is that true?

Thanks.

ANSI Clear is actually a terminal protocol. Like Kermit, Zmodem, etc. It doesn't look like Procomm can use it, as it's not in the drop-down box and I can't find it in the Help section. But thought I'd ask anyway.
I was also wondering if anyone else has used ANSI clear and if so, what software they used?

thanks.

Based on IBM's website ANSI Clear is a command set. But from other documentation I've found, it's a protocol. If it's a command set, then I think Procomm can handle it. Anyway, thanks. I realize this isn't an Aspect issue.

I'll check some documentation I have at home later tonight and see if it mentions Procomm supporting this protocol or command set. Can you post any good URLs you've come across discussing ANSI Clear?

Hello,

In a Nortel Switch using a DEC VT-100 Monitor you use a Hex to String Command [ HEXTOSTR #1B #5B #32 #4A ] which includes the Escape Sequences..

Not sure if this will help...

According to (which is probably the IBM link you are talking about), it looks like Procomm does support the ANSI Clear command set. Based on one of the sample scripts at the above URL, it appears to me that ANSI Clear is another term for an ASCII (but not raw ASCII) file transfer. aspect@aspectscripting.com
