Hi,

I can happily use a standalone Oracle function as an Impromptu UDF by altering the cogudfor and orfunct files but can anyone tell me if it's possible to use an Oracle function that resides within a Package as a udf, and if so what different changes I need to make to the cogudfor and orfunct file?

Many Thanks
James Compton

why would you want to include a oracle database function as a UDF? If the catalog uses database only or flexible processing you can use the same oracle database function?

and the performance will be faster as a database function, instead of retreiving the data from the database and then locally execute the oracle function.
