Using fonts from in design in photoshop.
OK sounds a bit of a strange request but what I would like to do is; use a font from indesign that is open (not solid) because I only know how to achieve this in photoshop with a solid font.
The reason for wanting to do it in photoshop is that I would like to use the photoshop editing change the shape of the word

Export PDF or EPS from InDesign and then place in Photoshop from the File menu. This will place the text as a smart object.

But really, there are ways to stroke text in Photoshop without the extra InDesign step. Type in Photoshop. Control-click the type layer to make a selection. Create a new layer. Go to the Edit menu and Stroke. Remove the original type layer.
