I am not very familiar with Alerts. Is it possible to have a Running Total (let's say if the Running Total is greater than 5), post the report to BOExi, and have an email sent out notifying me that the Running Total was greater than 5? Can an alert do this? If not, is there a way to do this? I do not want the email if the Running Total is 5 or less.

No Alerts cannot be used on Crystal or BOXIE Enterprise it is a local machine function. So you can't set an alert, publish out to BOXIE and then trigger an email off of it.

Thanks,

Alerts ARE available in both CE10 and BOE XI.
Alerts are only triggered on scheduling.
They don't behave the same way they do in CR (i.e. popping a dialog that allows you to drill to the Alert records), but you can email a notification that alerts were triggered.
