I have Arcserve v6.61 for NT. Should I install the client agent on the server where Arcserve resides? Will this improve the performance of the backup? Thanks.

Agent can be on the server and work station. Performance is not improved, because the actual software for backup runs from the server. Glenn

The client agent is not required on the ARCserve server box. It won't do you any good. I'm not sure if it will cause you any trouble, I suspect not. In any case, don't waste the license.
