I have an ActiveX Control that generates barcodes from data in a table. When I use the control in Access, I just drop it on the report and set the properties for the type of barcode and the field it should get the data from.

The report is part of our Accounting System and I am using an OEM version of Crystal 8.5 Professional.

I cannot figure out how to drop this control into a Crystal Report using the Report Designer.

I think I may be missing something very simple. Any ideas?

I don't think you are missing anything. You simply are not going to be able to add this control (or any other) to your report.

CR will support barcodes, but they use the Azalea barcode font that you need to obtain from Azalea directly ( then in the report add the field you want and set the font for the field.

You will also need to have the barcode UFL present. This should work for you --

There is also a potential issue to be aware of with exporting to PDF because the axalea font may be missing a property. Have a look here

Hope this helps
