using actionscripts with interface design

i need help learning how to script actions that will cause a button to load a perticular movie clip from my file's library:
what is the actual action?
what do i name my clip< expression, label, etc...?
how to create scrollable text boxes on that clip.
if any one can help me, i am having extreme difficulty figuring this info out via the actionscript book.

also, anyone in the NEW YORK area, i am willing to pay for personal help with this subject
