I am using Acronis True Image Home (Version 10.0)

Acronis is on an external hard drive attached to a Dell OptiPlex 760.

For some reason the PC is not recognizing any SATA hard drives I connect. BIOS settings have both SATA connections turned on and SATA operation is ATA (as opposed to AHCI or Legacy). Acronis only sees the drive external drive it is actually running off of.

a friend sent me this link. Seems as though no one else is getting anywhere with this issue.

What do you mean that Acronis is running off the external hard drive?? You're supposed to boot from a boot cd, access the image stored on the external drive and have it restored to the main hard drive in the PC.

With nothing else attached to the computer, does the BIOS see the INTERNAL hard to which you want to restore. If not, there's another problem.

Ran across this today with an earlier version. Would not see the SATA from the full blown version off the CD but would see them off the safe mode utility section. Didn't bother to see what else might be munged.
