Using a vector controlled hunt group w/queueing, without Elite licenses

so, i have never setup vector controlled hunt groups on CM without using bcms login ids. how is this accomplished in the absense of elite licensing? appears the hunt groups can be setup with acd/vector/and queueing....those options are there. how do the phones then login to the group and use busy-in and aux-work buttons? or are those functions done in a diff way? this is on CM 8.0
