Using a variable value from a function in a query

I have created a function that prompts the user for a number and stores their input into a variable. I want to use this variable in a query, but the report still prompts for a value for the query. I have made the variable public. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

hi,

If the value returned by your function is to replace a parameter just replace the [ParameterX] by =FunctionName()

but I feel this is not all you want to know...
