Using a usb key to update the BCM

Hi,

Has anyone ever used to "USB Storage device" source to update a BCM? We usually all carry the updates on usb keys and it would be useful to just plug it in the bcm then tell it to update. What's the "Directory" setting and how is it used? Is it a drive letter path like windows (e:\folder) or more like unix (//usb/folder/) ???

USB doesn't work on pre 4.0.

On 4.0 you have the option of the USB key in the pull down menu.
