Using a standard analog set with doorphone card - KX-TDE 1

Well the title says it all, does anyone know if this is possible? And if so, is the remote door opener still an option?

Yes you can use a standard telephone and you use the flash/ r button before dialing 5 to open door while talking the door phone

Sorry, my original post needs clarification. I meant can you use a standard analog set in place of a door phone unit in a lobby location for example?

Ok , yes you could hot line a extension to call group or they can call a extension off a list then they hangup on call lift handset again and dial *550x. X = doorphone port 1-4 to pull relay and open door
