I want to set validation rules for a particular field in an Access table by using a sql statement that brings back the distinct values of a certain field from another table in the database. Is this possible and if so, does anyone know the correct syntax? Access tells me there is a mistake in the equation but gives me no other clues. I tried using the syntax of a subquerie with and without the preceding "=" sign, neither worked. I would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks,

Zeke
