I have two PCs in the home. One is running XP the other is running ME.
I have got a Sony KDL20S2030 TV in the kitchen & would like to run the second PC on it.
It works fine on 640 x 480 but if I try & increase the resolution the TV says "Out of Sync". However if I put the same PC onto a standard LCD monitor it is fine (at high resolution rates).

In addition if I put the Sony TV on my XP machine it runs at 1024 x 768 without a problem.

If the card was faulty obviously the PC wouldn't work on the monitor & if the TV was faulty it wouldn't work on my XP machine, so I am a bit stumped. Both machines outputting at 60hz.

Any ideas?

If you're trying to run the Sony TV at 1024x768 resolution on the Windows ME system, then make sure the refresh rate is 60 Hz when that resolution is selected with another monitor connected.

Yes both machines are outputting at 60hz. Still doesn't seem to resolve the issue.

It's an odd problem. Are you using the latest drivers for your graphics card on the ME machine? If not, try updating them and see whether that fixes it. Failing that, try another VGA cable if you can get hold of one.
