I am trying to use a report for both Production and Development areas. The report does not have a qry or subreport associated with it.

I have been looking at the Seagate knowledge base but I still have not solved my problem. When I look at the the Set Location property the Server Name is Listed as PSReport, the PS is for production. How can I get it also to use the development server name, DVReport?

I really appreciate any help. I am going nuts on this.

Can you not create a second copy of the report itself and set the location of the tables to the other server, i.e. PSReport.{TABLE1} becomes DVReport.{TABLE1} ?
This can be done through either Crystal Reports itself or through external code if you are setting up and accessing the reports through an external application ...
Hope this proves helpful ...

You do not say what your back end is so I don't know if this will help. Hoiwever, with a SQLServer backend if you go into set location and remove the server name and database names, the report will run against whatever server you are logged into (assuming the table or view name is the same and the structures are compatible).

HI
Delete Dbname.dbo. from the set location string and use DSn to connect to Reports in Vb code. The problem will be solved

Thanks everyone for all of your comments. I have corrected the problem, actually I just rebuilt the report from scratch and it seems to work just fine. Can't explain it, not 100% what happened but all is well now.

Thanks.
