Hi guys

Is there a way in code to install/run a "filename.reg" file from within vb. I have been given a palette.reg file which is used for a charting component from chartfx...and at present you double click the file and it is installed into the registry. Any ideas?

This is a dangerous way to go (adding unknown content to your registry)... ShellExecute will open a REG file with the registry editor, ask for confirmation and then add the the contents to the registry.

Easy to do. Not so elegant. Won't work on my home machines (I have kids, so I make sure that notepad, not regedit.exe, opens all reg files). Not a practical way to perform the task when your app could be used under unknown conditions.
