I have a customer who has a new VOIP system but needs to interface between an ATA delivering a dial tone and a paging Amp.

I would like to take the ATA and bring it into a line port and use the AVAYA PARTNER R6 to route it to the paging port as it has always done. Is it possible without a UTI or something else to do the job???

Thanks for the help, Joe

An ATA delivers DIAL TONE, that would plug into a CO port on the Partner. There's no way to route an incoming call to the page port, so NO, the Partner control unit won't fill the bill.

You would need to bring the ATA into a "Centrex" paging adapter, which would connect to the input of the amplifier.

BUT, you need to ensure that the ATA provides positive disconnect that the Centrex paging adapter recognizes, or you will get reorder tone over the speakers when the person making the page hangs up.

If you haven't committed to the ATA yet, look at the Algo 8180 SIP Audio Alerter to connect to the input of the amplifier.
