Using a parameter within another parameter

Hello,


I have a Crystal Report with fields, Event, CancelDate, Designation, along with other data pertaining to the Event field. I would like for the user to choose which event that they would like to see in the report. There is a large number of events so I would like to narrow down the number of events that the Dynamic Parameter displays for the user. If I could narrow it down to a date range and where the Designation = "X" that would be great. In other words, I want to pull a list of Events that meet a criteria, to display this list in the Dynamic Parameter, and then run the report on which event the user chooses. Is it possible to call a parameter within another parameter? Also, should I use a Command for this report?

You can base the dynamic parameter on a command and define parameters for it. When you run the report you will see first a parameters dialog for the command and when you set the values another dialog for the report's parameters ( there will be 2 dialogs one after another).
