Using a parameter to remove or add a Group - Sorting

I have used a parameter in other reports to choose the grouping. Now I have a request to remove the grouping via a parameter. The problem is you can supress the grouping but the sorting heiarchy is still active. You end up with sorting bur no group header. What am I missing? Can you resort in a formula somehwere? Using Crytal 8.5

First, make sure that that grouping is on a formula rather than on a raw column.

When the parameter indicates you want to "remove" the grouping, besides suppressing the group, set the formula to return a constant.
