Using a Linksys VPN router behind a 2wire DSL Homeportal

This place is using a 2wire DSL router for their current internet gateway, and its being accessed via a cisco switch. The dilema is, that we want to setup a VPN but this shitty internet router doesn't support secure tunnels.

So, we went out and bought a linksys FW router/switch with VPN endpoint that needs to go between the DSL router and the Interal cisco switch. Any idea how to configure the Linksys to make it jive with the DSL router? The problem I'm running into is that I can't figure out how to route internet traffic through the linksys, then through the DSL modem correctly.

The 2Wire DSL uses PPoE to log in to the internet. We have internal DHCP And DNS running off a Windows server so that has to be disabled on both routers I think. I'm stuck though, once I put the Linksys in between the DSL router and the cisco switch, I can no longer communicate to the 2wire.

I assume you are in SBC territory. Check their site to see if you can switch the 2wire to bridged mode. Then have the Linksys run the pppoe session. Also try the 2wire forum at BBR.
In the future everything will work...
