I have a laptop with Windows 2000 Pro in which I use on two different networks. The networks are connected via a dedicated line, but one is a 192.168.0.* network and the other is a 192.168.2.* network. The .2 goes through .0 to access the Internet.

The problem is that I have to manually change the IP addresses every time I travel to the other city and switch networks. Is there anyway to avoid this? Would logging in as a different user change the IP address?

There are no servers to run dhcp. I am just running a pier-to-pier network. I have a docking station with a NIC at each location.

Thanks for your help.

Loging in a a diffrent user wouldn't help. If you have a Nic at each location then why cant you configure each one seperate as needed? If you using seprate nics you should be able to assign two seprate Ip's. If I missunderstood you and you have one nic you can assing multiple Ips on one nic. Select tcp/ip properties and advanced. On the first tab (ip settings) just add another Ip then the nick will use both Ip's. This will spilt your bandwidth though if both networks can be accesed at the same time.
