Greetings!

I was wondering if it is possible to use a Digital Video Camera as a storage media. I once heard the idea at TechTV but forgot what episode. Tried to search it on their site but with no avail. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks to all and more power!

it is, depending on your os (9x) you need to install drivers (since me they are included in the os). the transferrate depends on how you connect to the pc (usb1/2/firewire...) and what media you use in the camera.

why will you need that, harddisks are really cheap these day´s and a external usb2 case/cable cost only around 40 bucks (in case you need to be flexible)

Thanks Lemon13

Anyway, I have a Sony DCR-TRV33 DV Cam. Im also using a Firewire connection. Also using both Windows 2000 and XP as Operating System.

Can U give me the procedures on how this is done?

Thanks in advance and more power!

Thanks again!

just connect it to the computer, the memory stick should be recognized by windows as a "change drive assembly" (donno english impression, bubblefish gives me this translation)
