Using a dialog box from a Resource file

Hey ya'll, I'm just learning vb (ver 3 & 4(16)with 6 on the way), and I was wondering how to get a dialog box that is in a .res file to show. I can get bitmaps, cursors, and strings to work, but I'm stumped on the dialog box (accelerators and the others too, but havent tried them yet)
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have the yearn to learn.
