I have a client that wants to put a cordless analog phone on to his system. Can I take one of the unused ports and copy the line appearances onto the port and plug the analog cordless unit into that port so that it appears as an extension and will grab a line from a line pool when performing an out bound call?
Have it programmed with intercom dial tone, and then press 9 to acquire an outside line from the three lines on the system.
The office setup is for a dentist's office.
As well, on current phones, i have two that ring in areas that they don't want to ring. To adjust programming on those respective sets is that found in set configuration?
Many thanks in advance

Yes. That will work. As you said you should program auto line select to grab intercom dialtone first so they can call internally. Dialing 9 will give them the outside line.

Auto Line Select

At Ext. 10 or 11

Feature 00
Left Intercom Twice (System Program)
Right Intercom Once (Centralized Telephone Programming)
XX {Extension Number to program}
** {Begin Auto Line Select Programming}
Left Hand Intercom {First pick on off hook}
Line 1 {First pick when dialing 9}
Line 2 {2nd pick when dialing 9 if first pick is in use}
Line 3 {3rd pick when dialing 9 if 1st and 2nd picks are in use}
** {End Auto Line Select Programming}
Feature 00 to exit

To adjust ringing... at extension 10 or 11 FEATURE 00, left intercom, left intercom, right intercom, (extension number), press each line button until "no ring" appears in the display, FEATURE 00 to exit.

I [love2] "FEATURE 00"
