Hi, I am wanting to connect a Cisco router to my Meridian Option 11 via E1 so that I can allow users to remotely dial into my network through the PBX.

Has anybody had any experience of this? I am pretty sure I know what the kit is on the Cisco side but not the Meridian.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have done this using a channelized T-1, you must be in Europe to be doing E1. IF you are going to use the european version of ISDN, verify you have the software. If you do not, go channelized, it works fine.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am going to be using the following Cisco kit:

CISCO3725 (3725 chassis)
NM-30DM (30 Port Digital Modem Module)
NM-1CE1T1-PRI (1 Port E1 Module)

The Meridian PBX is an option 81c and is running software level 25.40. The card in the PBX that is going to connect to the Cisco router E1 port is a DPRI NTCK43AB.

Although the Cisco part is no problem to me, the Meridian might cause me some problems. Is there anything I need to look out for on the PBX that might stop it working?

Thanks a lot,
