I have an issue where the receptionist access the physical line appearance on the phone and dials *72 to forward their # to an answering service but gets either a fast busy and/or "#cannot be dialed" message. Am i missing something:

line 61 line typ= Public
appear and rings on receptionists phone.
Link at CO checked.

also when she trys to make an outbound call from that line she gets the same thing : message from telco

Is it a Centrex line and needs a 9 dialed first?

Did she try *73 first to clear it?

If LINK is Checked, do you have Centrex service? check with you Telco Provider.

If you don't have Centrex, then uncheck LINK

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
