The 54xx series of phones are supported from 3.0GA and above.
So NOT on 3.0DT wich is a face lifted 2.1 version with only the new "try before buy" licenses
It was a marketing ploy to make customers think they were getting a new version because Avaya fecked up with 3.0DS so badly that DT phones wouldn't work properly with 3.0DS so they decided to stop supporting DT phones. So they make this "new" version and called it 3.0DT. Notice how conveniently every 3.0DT release would conicidentally appear exactly 2 weeks after every 2.1 release (or the other way around I can't remember)? Look at the Technical Bulletins for the "bug" fixes. In the 3.0DT notes it doesn't actually list them, it tells you to look at the 2.1 Technical Bulletin. Also noticed the version numbers 2.1(44) and 3.0(544), 2.1(51) and 3.0(551) etc etc. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work the pattern out.
And hence no, the 54xx phones will not work on 3.0DT.
ps I have had this confirmed by Avaya. It's not just me talking s*ite.
