Are you looking at utilising GPRS over GSM?

This offers approximately 29kbps compared to about 8kbps of normal GSM.

Presumably, the link between the phones would be Bluetooth?

You need to expand a bit more.

Hi Chieftan

I sent you an email from my ISP but I just realized that I had to log in to send you a replay form this page. ok now I want to us one CDMA at my lap topend and a GPRS at the home PC, I do a lot of Travel around Australia and wanted to be able to use the Internet as I have Free phone calls fetween my phones 24/7, if the CDMA Network is faster than I will use two CDMA Phones, There is a CDMA Inetnet network in Australia ut the cost is quite High it runs at 128KB/S.

Ok if you requir more info please let me know.

In case you haven't gotten a response yet, here it goes. It probably won't work. Unless you want to learn alot about becomimg a dial-up ISP.
I work with CDMA alot. The data and voice sides are not exactly the same when it comes to billing and data transfer. What you would be doing would be making a voice call from one phone to another and trying to send data over the voice call, like a dial-up ISP. We tried this at work, and it wouldn't work because there were no IP's associated with the phones. If you have the right operating system, sometimes you can assign IP's over a dial-up connection. If you can do that, then you have a chance. Sorry, I don't rembmer what Windows operating system that was, but we don't use it our application and it's on the internet somewhere.
If you got that much working, your data transfer rate wouldn't be great.
The CDMA network I use in Canada is pretty buggy and I wouldn't waste my time doing what you are trying to. If you get it working though, let me know how.

I hope this helps,
Tracy
