Hi,

I have GW 5.5 system, and i want to know what are the userxxx.db* files for (in the ofuser directory). What is the difference between userxxx.db and userxxx.dba or .dbb.
Can I erase the the .db* files (but not the userxx.db files).

Thanx

When GroupWise encounters a problem with a user database it will automatically rebuild that database and create a backup of the current database by renaming the USERxxx.DB file to USERxxx.DBA, USERxxx.DBB, etc.. These backup files will normally be kept for 14 days after which time GWCHECK will delete them. You can delete these files manually, however in some cases this can act as backup of the user's database, in which case you may not want to delete these files.
