Hi All
I am setting up AIX on a new machine.
Is there an easy way of getting all the old users and there passwords setup from the old machine?

Are you moving from one AIX system to another? Or are the accounts on an different flavor of Unix?

I am moving from AIX4.3 to Aix5.1

Create a user Karl on the 4.3 box and give him a password. Then copy the matching line from /etc/passwd and the matching lines from /etc/security/passwd to the 5.1 box and try to login on the 5.1 box as Karl with his password. If it doesn't work, delete it. At least worth a try and won't damage anything.
