Currently we have 3 smtp domains coming into our server.

What i need to be able to do is the following

Allow a user to choose wich domain his email appears to be from.

That way if User1 is working on a certain project with company a his email will be user1@company.a , but if he is workign on a different project with company b his email address will show up as user1@company.b

Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft intended the primary SMTP address for a user to be the address seen when mail is sent outside of your Exchange organization.

I can think of a couple strategies to that will get around this.

One involves creating public folders and using "Send As", which has issues, but can be made to work.

The other involves creating contacts with the secondary e-mail smtp addresses and granting "Send As" on these. I'm not sure this would work, as I've never tried it.

The only real clean thing is to create seperate mailboxes and give full rights to those who need it.
In Outlook, you just add the mailboxes and all gets filtered nicely.
