Users will not show in Global address list

I have a problem with users not showing in global address lists. I have an AD forest with two domains mycompany.com and child.mycompany.com. The exchange servers are on the parent domain (mycompany.com). When users from either domain browse the Global address book they can only see users from the parent domain (mycompany.com). I’m still able to send email directly to any user in the child domain but I can not see them when I browse for their names from the outlook client or OWA. On the exchange server I’m able to see all the users on the Global Address list when I run the LDAP query.
How do I get the users from the child domain to appear on the GAL?
I have also tried giving additional permissions to the users form the child domain on the GAL to no avail.

Exchange server 2003 SP1 running on Win 2k3 SP1. 4 DC’s and 2 Global catalogs servers.

Have you looked into the recipient update service (RUS)?

The 2 default ones are there. The enterprise configuration and the one for the parent domain. Are you saying that I need to add another one for the child domain??

Maybe? I'm not sure, but the RUS creates/updates the email addresses. I've had problems with users not appearing in the GAL before and traced it to the RUS. However I only have a single domain and no child domains.

I tried that and did not work (so far), but you acctually helped with another issue that I had because I did not had RUS setup for the child domain. I will let it sit to see when it desides to replicate. I tried to force it by telling it to replicate now but not luck. I'll keep looking. Thanks anyway.
