Hi does anyone know how a user with either analogue handsets or 2420 DS terminals and only Phone Manager Lite is taking themselves out of group.

I have two users, one on a 403 with the DS unit, and one using a BT Diverse on a 401 who repeatedly drop out of their huntgroups. If it was a 2030 I'd put it down to user error - but I don't know how to do it on these phones - & neither do they!!!

Any ideas? ( do read other people's hosts and hope to contribute soon).
Thanks

Are they droping out of group or are they setting there phones to no-calls/divert nowhere.

If it is nocalls that is causing the problem a sneaky solution is to add "N" into the DND exceptions list.

No the users are not on DND & no diverts are set, the huntgroup shows them as disabled. They are getting none huntgroup calls.
ta.

we had this problem as well and it turned out to be caused by user pressing the DEL key in the phone manager lite (happend e.g. when a screen pop-up occured while working in MS-word). Could be a different key in your case based on the assigned keys.

Looked like a really good idea this, and greatful for another area to look at for such things.

However I cannot see anything in there or by pressing random buttons recreate the events.

Thanks anyway Arnoud.

Any other takers?

Paul

There is a default short code for logging out of a hunt group. Could users be dialing that by accident?

As we seem to have iliminated most of the posible user errors what version of IPO firmware is installed, it may be time for an upgrade

Hi Brian,
whats the shortcode - because I don't see it, but would love to know it!!

& they are on 2.0.18. Sigh, could try 2.1 next week!!

Apologies, reread Dencoms note - spot on. It is labeledas Busy wrap up - but when you get a config download this is presented as the user being disabled.

It is also not on a timer and only reverts when you press delete again!!

Thanks all.

Phone Manager. Versions 2.1.7 & 2.1.8 both sufferfrom the following.

Once you exit preferences after making a setting change (or NOT) results in the user being disabled from any huntgroups they are members of .

I have obtained a version 2.1.10 PhoneManager.exe (Version 2.1.8 is shipped on the 2.1.10 User CD. Confusing or what!!!!)
Simply replaced older phonemanager.exe and tested.

Cleared problem

Very happy user base .

Thanks Spridge,

I got that a while back, and yes it was exactly this.
Are you going through some old postings just to see whats about? This was last May!!

thanks again anyway though.

Is the 2.1.10 Phone Manager available from anywhere on the Avaya site? Where did you aquire it from spridge?

Well, I downloaded Telesonics User cd link and as told previously in this thread the 2.1.10 user cd patch does indeed come with Phone Manager 2.1.8.

Does anyone have a copy of the real 2.1.10 Phone Manager app I could receive in email?

Thanks

The FTP link fails in both IE6 and Firefox. Is there another location the file may be found? Perhaps a zipped version of 2.1.10 could magically arrive at greatvideo@hotmail.com

the link is working fine form IE6 here in my office
you may need to configure explorer to use pasive mode for FTP transfers
alternativly try an FTP client such as cuteFTP or SmartFTP
